Everyone knows that Wangdue is windy but if I may share a small fact it is very rare for Wangdue to experience days of rainfall, especially Bajo. However, this year has been different, Global Warming???We have been experiencing days of continuous rainfall which of course has been a blessing to the searing heat. So this year I am experiencing summer with rainfall and not just heat.
To celebrate this I have been trying out some interesting stuff to engrave some good summer memories. For instance, today me and my colleague went out for a good hour swim. Since I don’t know how to swim l soaked my body in cool water and this was definitely a heavenly feeling at a place with extreme heat. Moreover, my colleague gave me my first lesson on swimming. I hope I can make her proud one day (lol). In between the lessons and excitement I must have drank a litre of pool water I hope it’s normal for all the first timers if not please give me tips on how not to drink pool water. A good swim under the blue sky except for drinking water part, what more can I ask for.
Next stop was at a cafe for a hot coffee with the view of Punatsangchu. The gentle breeze and the sound of river enhanced the taste of our coffee. I am not lying but Punakha Kaja Throm has been the best among all the Kaja Throms I have been to.
Then to end the day we tossed a glass of cocktail in a classic bistro. Such good places in the area are rare (haha). Endless conversations with lots of laughter filled my soul so how can I not describe today?
One day in the future when I remember this summer I will be smiling with gratitude for the place, people and the days filled with rainbows.
